Christmas Decor for a Small Apartment

Living in a small apartment doesn't offer many options for elaborate holiday decor. With a little ingenuity, however, I've created a lovely holiday-themed apartment. A miniature lighted Christmas tree carefully placed on my side table greets visitors as they enter my home. Making good use of my front room window, I have adorned it with decor, using tinsel and garland, as well as miniature stockings hung with suction cups. As a festive alternative, you might try hanging shiny ornaments on the window in much the same way. If your apartment is designed with a staircase, decorate the banister. Use garland, tinsel, holly or even holiday greeting cards. Finally, if your apartment is furnished with a fireplace, decorate the mantel. I've placed a two-foot tall animated and musical Santa on my mantel. I hope my blog gives you some fun decorating ideas for your small home.

Everything You Need to Know About Patio Heaters

by Luke Patterson

If you want to enjoy your outdoor space beyond the summer months, you need to find a way to heat it, and a patio heater may be just what you need. Patio heaters are a great way to make outdoor living more enjoyable year-round and extend the life of your patio. But what exactly is a patio heater, who needs one, and how does it work? Here's a closer look at the benefits of patio heaters

What Is a Patio Heater?

A patio heater is an outdoor heating device that radiates heat into the surrounding area. The heaters come in two main types: propane and natural gas-powered. Each has advantages and disadvantages, so it's important to consider your needs before purchasing.

Who Needs a Patio Heater?

Homeowners who want to enjoy their outdoor space year-round should consider investing in a patio heater. With a patio heater, you can create a comfortable atmosphere for entertaining guests or simply enjoying the outdoors, no matter what time of year it is. No matter where you live, the winter months are always cooler than the summer ones, and patio heaters can take the chill out of the air.

How Does It Work?

Patio heaters work by converting fuel into heat energy and radiating it outwards from the unit. They are efficient at warming up surrounding areas fairly quickly and provide enough warmth for anyone sitting in their vicinity, even on colder nights. Depending on the model you choose, additional features may allow you to adjust the level of warmth depending on how many people are present in your outdoor space and their personal preferences.

Can a Patio Heater Be Used in an Enclosed Space?

Patio heaters are specifically designed for outdoor spaces and can be safely used on patios, decks, and other outdoor spaces. It is dangerous to use a natural gas and propane patio heater indoors or in an enclosed patio or sunroom because the fumes from the heater can build up and create a risk of carbon monoxide poisoning. Patio heaters should only be used outdoors in well-ventilated areas.

Patio heaters are an efficient way to make outdoor living more enjoyable year-round and extend the life of your patio and other outdoor living spaces. Investing in one could be just what you need for optimal outdoor enjoyment throughout the entire year. Talk to a professional about the available options to find the best patio heater for you.
